GNEC's primary purpose is economic development. We carry out that mission by financing small business growth & development, job creation by way of self employment, and by providing technical assistance and/or a resourceful networking "pool" for the Northern New Jersey community.

The Greater Newark Enterprises Corporation ("GNEC") is a community development corporation, and Certified CDFI, established in 2005. The Organization is exempt from income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and similar provisions of the State code.
